If we all work together we can make the world a better, more enjoyable place! Dr. Robert Rowen, MD is internationally known for his work in the field of complementary, alternative and integrative medicine. He is known as the “Father of Medical Freedom” for his efforts to legalize alternative medicine in 1990 in Alaska. He worked with Senator Ward and Governor Hickel to accomplish this amazing feat. The rare medical freedom he enjoyed in Alaska enabled him to greatly expand his knowledge and experience in a multitude of disciplines and therapies not normally found in medicine. Jumping into alternative medicine in 1983, through a practice in acupuncture, he quickly incorporated nutritional medicine, chelation therapy, oxidation therapy, homeopathy and herbal medicine, and took intensive training in neural therapy and prolotherapy to help treat and eliminate acute and chronic pain. Alaska’s laws enabled him to work extensively with innovative cancer therapies, ozone, and ultraviolet blood irradiation therapy. He is internationally known and respected for training hundreds of open-minded physicians in these techniques from around the world. Dr. Robert Rowen is truly one of the health heroes I met and became friends with over 45 years of health research.

    Poison drugs from poisoned brains.

  2. gerardowmby Says:

The above should read: “Pharmaceuticals are isolated from plants which originally contain an environment of many other compounds. Plants are more balanced in that regard and therefore give fewer side-effects, unlike a pharmaceutical which is an isolated compound.

  3. lonnied123 Says:

I am ignorant of the evidence of which you speak. Please point me to the studies that back up your claims. Personal experience is not scientific evidence at all, as I’m sure you are aware the plural of anecdote is anecdotes, not evidence.

Also, how would a medication with a number of medications in it lower the side effects? Every substance added would increase the amount of effects, both primary and secondary, yes?

Again, No studies = No proof. Stories dont count. Thats all there is to it.

  4. lonnied123 Says:

I just want to understand your claim clearly:

You say that pharmaceuticals isolated from a plant, which is an isolation of a SINGLE compound, have MORE side effects than using the plant itself which could contain any amount of the chemical depending on time of harvest/condition of plant/type of soil/type of fertilizer etc… AND could contain any number of other chemicals that have leeched into it from nearby plants and the environment?

I just want to be sure that is the claim you are making.

  5. gerardowmby Says:

Fewer side effects, because that is how nature works.

  6. gerardowmby Says:

No. Every substance added by nature actually decreases the side effects. By the way, the “experience” with herbal formulas I mentioned is repeated observation giving evidence, which is how the scientific process works.

  7. lonnied123 Says:

Please show me the evidence that when nature adds extra chemicals side effects go down. Thats all I’m asking for. I will concede and change my view point on the issue if you can do this. This flies in the face of not only the current evidence I am aware of, but logic as well. Are you not aware of the hundreds of NATURALLY occurring chemicals that will kill you if you ingest them? How does this factor into your “nature = always good” hypothesis? What if “nature” added these chemicals to the mix?

  8. lonnied123 Says:

Also, observation is the beginning of the scientific process, not its entirety. Observation leads you to hypothesis, which which leads to a good study with controls and variables, which then leads to conclusion.

Did you not do science fair projects in school? Did the teacher accept “I saw it happen” as a conclusion?

  9. gerardowmby Says:

I teach philosophy of science, so I know the process of investigation. Obviously, there’s no sense in arguing with a closed mind. Goodbye.

  10. lonnied123 Says:

How am I the closed minded one? Let me reiterate:

I am willing to CHANGE MY MIND if you can show me the evidence for your claims.

That is the very definition of open minded.
Are you willing to do the same if I can show you evidence that contradicts your claims? If the answer is no, YOU are closed minded.

  11. gerardowmby Says:

For the rest of you, there are thousands of research studies on Ayurved on this new invention called the internet.

  13. tinimpajko Says:

I agree to the point with Ionnied123. If you have for example too much prostaglandins E2 and you got an inhibitor of that molecule then there will be no more abundance of prosta. E2.

adding more chemicals would only add more variables to the “soup”.

  14. lonnied123 Says:

But dont you get it, Nature only adds the right chemicals. It has humans best interest in mind. It knows exactly what chemicals we need inside of our body. The sole purpose of plants is to make humans feel good. The more natural compounds the better.

Also, there are NO natural compounds that are harmful to humans. This is because nature can do no wrong. Everything in nature is beneficial to humans. Thats just how nature works. I dont have a single study proving this, but trust me, its science.

Doctors like you give me hope!!! Thank you for being open minded and using your skill to help heal the world!!!
It’s amazing in the face of REAL RESULTS, people can still say it isn’t ’scientifically founded’. Ha ha!
    Thanks you again!!!!

  16. CulturePeaceForever Says:

Several sources have stated that many peoples’ absorption mechanism(physically)are weak,so they need larger amounts of Vitamin C to keep healthy.Have you all heard to the bowel tolerance?

  17. Jarocho2003 Says:

If someone told you drink more water to get rid of your headache, would you need a study to believe that it work? Science some times is behind the cures and big pharma would not want you to know that a much cheaper and better alternative is out there would they?

  18. lonnied123 Says:

I know this was just an example, but if you are genuinely asserting that drinking water can cure headaches, this is false (unless your headache is caused by dehydration)

However, lets rephrase your statement so that the word “water” is replaced with any other word… Than yes, I would like to see a study to see if it works or if it is simply placebo. This could be a plant, a walk in the park, standing on your head for 15 minutes… Anything.

What if I told you that eating bananas cures cancer?

  19. Jarocho2003 Says:

I agree more studies should be done on natural stuff but they aren’t….there is no money on letting you know that in fact apple cider vinegar can lower your blood pressure. Is there?
But I think you had high blood pressure only a fool wouldn’t try apple cider vinegar for at least a week to see if it works or not.
Of course you shouldn’t touch certain plants as they can also be dangerous, but for the most part the stuff that people are trying is pretty safe.

  20. lonnied123 Says:

There is money in it for the Apple Cider Vinegar industry :-)

Having said that, studies HAVE been on it, and have shown no efficacy in anything from Arthritis to blood pressure. What are you basing your claim on that is lowers BP?

Also, this is why a fool might skip on taking the vinegar: How much does it lower BP? Does it produce the same result consistently? Does it interfere with other medications? What dose is needed to produce a specific result? Is it similar in most people?

  21. Jarocho2003 Says:

Yes apple cider vinegar works on a lot of people (check both the cure zone and earth clinic web site and find out for yourself)…Again, if drugs work for you then follow that path…some of us choose to try herbs before drugs, but it does NOT mean I wouldn’t try a synthetic drug if that was the only option I saw I had left…take care

  22. lonnied123 Says:

I have checked those websites and I will tell you why I am not impressed:

1 – No studies, everything is based on anecdotes which mean next to nothing.

2 – People are reporting only 1 or 2 different BP readings, not enough data

3 – The change in readings(15-20 points systolic) could be due to something as simple as sitting or laying down. I see this everyday at work, people come in with BP of 165, they lay down and relax and it goes to 130 without any medication

Just be smart about using it

  23. musicofmeasuredotcom Says:

Dr Bowen’s a true modern hero. Beware the agents of the drug-companies, in bed with the GMO-producers and the government, to turn people into dull-witted cattle who accept poor-health thru reduced-nutrition GM-foods, thus increasing the incidence of modern disease (cancer, heart & neurological diseases) which Big-Pharma will then “treat” but never cure with expensive drugs, while the politicians take kick-backs for passing legislation to outlaw natural, low-cost health remedies which can cure.

  24. motherfucker669 Says:

People live longer than they did 100 years ago, and its all thanks to modern medicine and it is because of genetically engineered food that we can feed everyone alive today. None of that homeopathic crap actually works. Its only purpose is to separate gullible saps from their money.

  25. motherfucker669 Says:

Obviously, if homeopathy was a viable alternative to actual medicine then it would be able to compete in a free market, but it can not. People are willing to pay more for drugs that actually work than for little vials of tapwater that don’t do anything which is why pharmaceutical companies will always have more money and be able to help more people than asswipe quacks like rowen.
